Outreach Ministries: School Supply Donation

Help underprivileged kids get the most out of school by collecting donations of school supplies. Purchase a number of child size backpacks. Fill them with a variety of age appropriate supplies.

For elementary school students:

• Jumbo crayons
• Washable markers
• Safety scissors
• Pencils
• Handwriting tablets
• Glue sticks
• Construction paper
• Tissues

For middle or junior high students:

• Wide rule notebook paper
• Pencils
• Pens
• White-Out
• Folders
• Calculators
• Erasers
• Rulers
• Combination locks
• Highlighters

For Senior High students:

• College rule notebook paper
• Graphing calculators
• Mechanical pencils
• Pens
• Notebooks
• Combination locks
• Highlighters
• Day Planners

Don’t forget that teachers need help too. Very often school budgets have been slashed so low that teachers are forced to purchase classroom supplies out of their own pocket. Give them a needed hand by providing the following:

• Dry Erase Markers
• Erasers
• Staples
• Pencil Sharpener (wall mount)
• Construction paper
• Graph paper
• Paintbrushes
• Water-soluble paints
• Sculpting clay

• Children’s Books (for story time)

Connect with your local school board to organize distribution of materials. A good place to start is inner city schools, which are always in need of supplies.
